Biography
Denice was
"discovered" by Manager Jay Bernstein (who launched the careers of Farrah
Fawcett, Suzanne Somers, & Linda Evans) during a Hollywood Talent Search contest.
Working only as an intern in the contest office answering phones, getting coffee,
etc., the judges convinced her to audition. And as Hollywood dreams go, 5 call-backs
later she was the only actress of the 2000 who auditioned that was picked by Mr. Bernstein
for representation!
She was
brought to the William Morris Talent Agency and 2 weeks later she booked her first
guest-starring role on Northern Exposure. Other TV roles were on Silk
Stalkings, Reasonable Doubts (with Marlee Matlin and Marc Harmon); a special 2-hour Matlock directed by Leo Penn (Sean Penn's father); an episode of Danger Theatre opposite Diedrich Bader of The Drew Carey Show; roles on The Young & The Restless;
General Hospital and and episode of Dream On directed by John
Landis co-starring Tom Berringer and Mimi Rogers.
Her Movies of the Week include Double
Jeopardy co-starring Bruce Boxleitener and Rachel Ward (as her best friend and key
witness) and Robin Cook's Invasion playing friend (then Alien) of Rebecca Gayheart
and Luke Perry.
As for National commercials, yoiu've seen her
a lot. She's worked for Budweiser, Prudential Real Estate, Kodak, Sunkist OJ,
Fisher's Studio 24 (as infomercial Host with Alice Cooper) among others. She had
a 2-year Ivory Soap campaign, but probably her most notable was the Fruit of the
Loom campaign where she was the girl bopping about her bedroom trying to figure out
what to wear and then finally flopping on a chair in nothing but her Fruit of the Looms!
Her film work is varied. In
Sci-Fi / Fantasy, she Replaced Sandahl Bergman in Hell Comes to Frogtown II w/ Lou
Ferigno, Robert Z'Dar and Charles Napier and was in Phoenix with Brad Dourif, Billy
Drago and General Hospital's Stephen Nicholes. In the Horror genre she is the
star of Full Moon Entertainment's Subspecies series II & III (and recently
returned from Romania having completed part IV!). In Martial Arts films she starred
in Bloodfist 5 as Don the Dragon Wilson's leading lady and in Martial Law
with Jeff Wincott.
Needing another creative outlet,
she converted her garage into a photography studio and after very successfully
test-shooting two of her best friends, Emmy-Award winning Michelle Stafford of The
Young & The Restless fame and rising star Kevin Spirtas (as Dr. Wesley of Days
of Our Lives) she decided to go Professional!
She has since photographed
hundreds of artists, actors and musicians. To see her photos, please click here.
She has recently been in a TV pilot called "Sam 'N Ella's" that is getting a great response and a critically aclaimed independent short film called "The Silencing." She is also to be seen in a Mr. Clean commercial directed by Larry O'Flavahan. Keep an eye out for her!
